1. Who We Are

Pelvic Control ("we", "our", or "us") is a wellness mobile application operated by an individual developer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you use the Pelvic Control mobile application (the "App"), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

2. Our Approach to Privacy

Pelvic Control is built on privacy by design and data minimization principles. The App is designed so that your sensitive health and exercise data never leaves your device. You can use the App fully without creating an account or providing any personal information to us.

3. Information We Process

a) Data stored on your device

The majority of data generated by your use of the App is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us. This includes:

  • Selected goals, programs, and workout preferences
  • Completed workouts, exercise history, and progress records
  • Streaks and in-app usage statistics
  • Reminder and notification preferences
  • App settings and configurations
  • Symptom journal entries (if used)

We have no access to this data. It resides solely on your device under your control.

b) Purchase information

If you purchase a subscription or premium feature, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple App Store. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card details or full billing information. We may receive a limited, anonymized token from Apple solely to verify your purchase status and unlock premium features.

c) Notifications

If you grant notification permission, your reminder preferences are stored locally on your device to schedule local notifications. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no data is sent to our servers. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings.

d) Apple Watch

If you use the Apple Watch companion feature, limited session data (such as workout state and exercise progress) is synchronized between your iPhone and Apple Watch via Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This synchronization occurs on your personal devices and does not involve our servers.

e) Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you explicitly grant permission, the App may read or write selected health data via Apple Health (HealthKit). This is always opt-in and requires your active consent.

  • HealthKit data is used only to provide App functionality (e.g., logging workouts)
  • It is never used for advertising, marketing, or profiling
  • It is not shared with any third parties, except as required by law
  • It is not uploaded to our servers

You can manage or revoke Health permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health on your iPhone.

f) Support communications

If you contact us by email, we will process your name (if provided) and email address solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use this information for any other purpose and do not add you to any mailing lists.

4. What We Do Not Collect

The App does not request, require, or collect:

  • Account registration or user profiles
  • Your name, email address, or any contact details (except if you email us directly)
  • Phone number or device phone identity
  • Precise or approximate location
  • Access to contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA or similar)
  • Behavioral analytics or usage telemetry sent to third parties

5. Tracking and Analytics

Pelvic Control does not use any third-party tracking, advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, or cross-app tracking technologies. We do not track your activity across other apps or websites. We do not build behavioral profiles or sell data to advertisers.

6. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above only to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the App
  • Store your preferences and progress locally on your device
  • Enable reminders and workout session functionality
  • Synchronize data between your personal iPhone and Apple Watch
  • Verify your purchase and unlock premium features
  • Respond to support enquiries you initiate
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

7. Legal Basis for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide you with the App and its features
  • Consent — for optional features such as notifications and Apple Health access; you may withdraw consent at any time
  • Legitimate interests — for app security, fraud prevention, and responding to support enquiries, where these interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to process data by applicable law

8. Data Storage and Retention

All exercise data, preferences, and health information remain on your device and are not stored on our servers. You have full control over this data at all times.

Purchase verification tokens are retained only as long as necessary to verify your active subscription and to meet legal or tax obligations.

If you contact us by email, we retain your correspondence for a reasonable period to handle your enquiry and maintain records of our communication.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

  • Apple — for App Store operations, purchase processing, and system services, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
  • Legal authorities — if required by applicable law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
  • Future service providers — if we ever introduce third-party services supporting App functionality, we will update this Policy and obtain any required consents before doing so

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — the right to request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — the right to have inaccurate data corrected
  • Erasure — the right to request deletion of your data
  • Restriction — the right to restrict how we process your data
  • Objection — the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Portability — the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent — the right to withdraw any consent you have given at any time

Because almost all data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by resetting or uninstalling the App. For any data held by us (such as support emails), contact us at help@pelviccontrol.com and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children's Privacy

Pelvic Control is not directed at children under the age of 16 (or the applicable minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at help@pelviccontrol.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any personal data we process. Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (passcode, biometric authentication, encryption). We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and to use a strong device passcode.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Third-Party Services

The App operates on Apple platforms and may rely on Apple system services (App Store, HealthKit, WatchConnectivity, local notifications). Use of these services is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Apple's privacy practices or data handling.

14. International Data Transfers

Given that almost all data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate servers that store user health data, international data transfers are minimal. Any data processed by Apple may be transferred internationally in accordance with Apple's own privacy framework and applicable data transfer mechanisms.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or App Store update notes. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
